Recommended Way to Flat Tow a 2008 Honda Civic SI

Question:

I called to order, and apparently the SI model does not accept the base plates for the regular LX/DX/EX civics. Any other ideas to flat tow this guy, sure do love the car, or am i stuck with a tow dolly, no way around it? Maybe the stock plate can be modified, or..........??? ps, the SI is a 4 door, 6 speed manual they only come in 6 spd manual, i doubt that matters but fyi in case it does. Thanks,

For your Si model 2008 Honda Civic we don't have a base plate we can safely recommend. A tow dolly like the part # RM-2050-1 actually isn't a terrible option. Either way you end up spending about the same amount of money since flat-towing components are pretty pricey and with the tow dolly there isn't an in-depth install like what base plate kits require.

Plus, if you ever need to flat tow an different vehicle you wouldn't have to buy an additional base plate kit wiring kit and have it installed. The tow dolly comes with everything needed.
