Can Wire Torn from Factory Wiring Connector be Reinstalled on 2006 Ford Expedtion
Question:
My blue wire from the truck broke off at the base of the connector plug. Is there a trick to release the blue wire from the round plug and reattach a new blue wire?

It sounds like the blue wire on the factory connector tore off of the round connector that plugs into the back of the 7-Way trailer connector. I have a solution for you, but unfortunately, we do not know of any way to install a new wire into the factory connector.
The best solution I have for you is to cut off the existing round connector and install a replacement harness and connector, # PK11998. This replacement connector will need to be connected to the existing wires on your 2006 Ford Expedition by function. You can use a circuit tester, # PTW2993, to test the wires on your Expedition for their functions.
The functions of the wires on # PK11998 by color are red for left turn/stop, white for ground, blue for electric brakes, green for right turn/stop, black for the 12V power wire, brown for running lamps, and yellow for reverse lights. The butt connectors needed to install the # PK11998 connector are included.
The # PK11998 wiring connector is designed to work with 7-Way trailer connectors like the Pollak Replacement 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector # PK11893.
