When setup and installed properly the Reese Elite Ford Rail Kit adapter part# RP30156 would not add movement or noise ("chucking"), to your fifth wheel setup. It would essentially be just as quiet as a set of industry standard fifth wheel rails.

This would work well with the Reese Slider Hitch part # RP30084 that you also referenced. Since you have a short bed truck you would need a slider hitch allow you to make tight turns without cab interference.
