Should Silicone be Used to Install 2-Way Pop-Up Roof Vent on a 2014 Chevy Express
Question:
I want to install this vent on the side of my 2014 chevy express van, which I have converted to a camping van. Question is, should I use the enclosed gasket with silicon, or use some putty tape? Which is more durable and more waterproof? Is there a better alternative?

If it were me installing vent # 9106-2756 I would use silicone such as # 0160297 because it does an excellent job for vent installation. There are also some silicones out there in other colors. I have linked a video review of this vent for you.
