Solution for Trailer Brake Controller that Activates with Vehicle Hazard Lights
Question:
Hello. Followed the guidance at the link above. When wired exactly like this, the trailer left and right turn signals work fine. The trailer brake light works fine. But when I use the vehicle 4 way flashers, they flash the trailer brake circuit. Can you help please? Thanks

What you need is the part # 5501. This adapter is designed for your exact application. It will allow your hazards to illuminate and function without activating your brake controller each time the lights come on.
I attached a diagram that details how it installs as well.
