Do Powered and Non-Powered Trailer/RV Fantastic Roof Vents Fit the Same Size Opening

Question:

I am not planning on getting a Fantastic fan until I install solar or a house battery to run it, but I still need a way to vent hot air. Is the size of this vent the same size as a Fan? If I cut a hole in my vehicle for this, will I need to cut a different size hole for the fan? Or is the size the same? Thanks!

Fan-Tastic Vent RV or Trailer Roof Vent # FV800800 fits in a 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" rough opening size. If that is the size of the hole you cut then you are good to go. Models with the electric fan, such as # FV802250, fit the same size opening. I recommend just using the model with the fan because even if there isn't power running to it yet you can still have the lid open to vent hot air.
