Possible Replacement Bike Strap for Rhode Gear Bike Rack

Question:

I have a rhode gear bike rack. I need the straps that lop over the bike bar and hold the bike to the rack. Ordered thule straps from you but they are not a good fit.

We have other bike rack manufacturer's straps that may work for you since the Thule # 852-3006-001 strap did not work well on your Rhode Gear bike rack, but unfortunately we do not have any replacement straps that are confirmed as a replacement for your Rhode Gear bike rack.

Since there are not confirmed fit replacement parts available, finding the best replacement strap can be hit or miss. We know the Thule strap did not work well for your bike rack, so if you'd like to try another strap Yakima offers their Replacement Rubber Chain Straps # 8890221. These straps have 1/2 inch diameter round holes to secure the straps to the rack and they are 9 inches long. One of my fellow experts recommended these to a customer and they found the answer to be helpful. I cannot guarantee these straps will work, but they are another option to try.

Since Rhode Gear is no longer in business, exact replacement parts for the racks are no longer available. Before Rhode Gear ended, they were owned by Yakima. I spoke with my contact at Yakima about replacement parts for Rhode Gear bike racks and unfortunately they do not have any recommendations or confirmed fits for a replacement strap for Rhode Gear bike racks.
