Trailer Hub Assembly for a Haul-Master Trailer with 8 Inch 4 Lug Wheels
Question:
I am looking for a hub to replace my old one. I have a Trailer Hub Assembly for a Haul-Master Trailer with 8 Inch 4 Lug Wheels. The spindle is a straight 1 spindle. The inside dia of the seal on the back of the hub is 1-3/16 which is approx. 1.1875. Which part number will replace my existing hub?

We actually offer more than one hub that features a 4 bolt pattern and fits a straight spindle, but in order to determine which one would match your current setup, I would need to know either the industry standard numbers on your bearings or the inner and outer diameters.
The # AKIHUB-440-2-1K hub uses a seal # 34823, which has an inner diameter of 1.249 inches. This would be the closest inner diameter size we offer to the 1.1875 inch measurement you provided. I would recommend checking the seal diameter with a set of calipers to get a closer measurement.
Otherwise this hub would be a good match for your application, as it uses bearings with a 1 inch diameter, and has a 4 on 4 bolt pattern. If you see the number 8-91A stamped on the back side of your current hub assembly then the # AKIHUB-440-2-1K would be the correct hub and bearing kit for your trailer.
I have included a link below to a video demonstrating how to inspect and reinstall trailer bearings, races, and seals, if needed.
