How to Determine Length Of Bike Rack When Installed in Stromberg Bike Bunk CC-275

Question:

Hi i am trying to figure if my SUV turning radius will be affected if i purchase the bike bunk for the A-frame and install a Swagman xc-2 in the receiver. i was wondering if you could tell me how far out from the bike bunk frame does the outer bike rack wheel tray extend? thanks for any information you may have.

The hitch pin hole of the Stromberg Carlson Bike Bunk part # CC-275 is right beneath the cross beam of the rack. Typically the XC part # S64650 adds about 21 inches to the back of a vehicle but you will need to measure from the center of the pin hole on your rack out to the furthest point out on the rear mounted bikes handlebars to know how much distance would get added.

That dimension is going to tell you how long the bike rack would be when installed in the bunk and will give you an idea how much turning clearance you would end up with if you installed this.
