Solution for Rewiring Up a 7-Way on a Trailer that Came Disconnected
Question:
Hey Guys, Help! The wires on my 7 way plug to my tow vehicle got pulled out and need to be reconnected. The cable from the trailer though has no white wire only 6 colored wires-black, brown, green, yellow, and blue. Any help or guidance is appreciated as we are leaving for the World Paint Show on Saturday and my wife is ready to inflict bodily harm :.

I can help! Not every vehicle uses the same wire colors for wiring up trailer connectors so you will need to test the wires with a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 and then wire up the connector using the diagram I attached.
Have a friend (or your wife if she promises not to "accidentally" run you over), apply the different turn signal and brake light functions until everything is identified. If you have a brake controller use the manual override lever of it to identify it.
