How Would Brake Controller Wire 2012 Chevy Suburban that has Brake Controller Connector Under Dash
Question:
I have a 2012 Chevy Suburban that came with the tow package. It already has a connector under the steering wheel for a brake controller. My problem: what is that plug? You dont seem to sell a plug n play controller that can plug right into it. Why not? Thanks,

It sounds like someone may have had a brake controller installed in your 2012 Chevy Suburban and left the connector that they wired to the vehicle for the brake controller. Most likely they just unplugged the controller and left the connector wired. Does the connector have four wires that are black, white, red, and blue? If so, then I am assuming correctly.
Without seeing the connector it's hard to say what brand was there and what controller would plug right into it, but the P2 part # 90885 would be a great choice either way. You may have to cut the connector off and rewire the controller to the vehicle wires. But there is a chance you could just plug the controller in and be good.
I attached an install video that shows this controller being installed in a similar 2011 Suburban as yours as well.
