4-Way Flat Wiring Harness Fit for 2006 Chrysler Pacifica
Question:
I have an older jayco without brakes. I need a harness for a 4 flat connector. I see etrailer has a harness without the power module/converter. Can I use a harness without the module/converter?

To add a trailer wiring harness to your 2006 Chrysler Pacifica, you will want to use a wiring harness with a converter. The converter works to change the separate taillight wiring on your Pacifica to combined wiring that is used on trailers.
To be able to connect your Pacifica to your Jayco trailer that has a 4-Way flat connector, if your Pacifica did not come with a factory 7-Way connector, I recommend the # C55530. This is a custom fit wiring harness that will install behind the taillights on your Pacifica. I've attached an installation video of this harness for you.
The Adapter 4-Pole to 6-Pole and 4-Pole that you referenced will work if you already have a 4-Way Flat trailer connector, such as # 118303, on your vehicle. The best way to install the adapter would be to first install a wiring harness with a 4-Way flat.
If your 2006 Pacifica came with a factory tow package and a 7-Way factory installed connector, you can use the 4-Way harness designed to fit vehicles with the factory tow package, # 118381. This wiring connector installs at the factory tow package wiring behind the rear bumper of your vehicle. Since the factory wiring has already be converted to combined wiring, this harness does not have a converter box. If you do not have the factory wiring connectors on your Pacifica, this harness will not work for you. The installation instructions for this wiring harness are attached.
