ok, so I measured my wheel on the existing trailer and its a 14 inch rim and its 6 and 3/4 inches wide outside to outside measurement. So will this 215/75r14 work properly?

When measuring the width of a trailer wheel you need to measure the spacing between the points where the tire beads rest. This is smaller than the overall outside-to-outside measurement. You can refer to the linked diagram which shows where to measure a wheel for its actual width.

If the 14-inch wheel's actual bead seat measures either 6-inches wide or 5-1/2-inches wide then it will accept a ST215/75R14 special trailer tire like Taskmaster ST215/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire # TTWTRTM2157514D.
