In my research of your 1999 Ford Taurus, it appears that you will need to remove the interior door panel to unplug some connections and then remove the plastic panel covering the mirror assembly.
There are two locations of the screws on the door panel that will need to be removed to allow the door panel to come off as well as some wiring connections. The two screws are located in the interior of handle of the door and behind the exiting handle on the interior of the vehicle.
You will then need to unscrew the bolts on the speaker panel to expose the mirror assembly. There are three nuts two you will be able to see and one behind a plastic sticker. Remove the mirror and install the Cipa # CM42104 replacement mirror.
Then you will want to repeat the process backwards to reassemble your door.
