Would a Kona or Giant Mountain Bike Require an Adapter Bar to Use with Kuat Beta Bike Rack

Do I need an adapter bar for Mountain Bikes Kona and Giant for example? Thanks,

If the mountain bike does not have a horizontal top tube then it would require the use of an adapter bar like part # UB01 to provide a horizontal attachment tube for the Kuat Beta part # B202-2 to attach to. The adapter attaches to the seat post and the steering stem to provide the attachment point.

I looked up pictures to see examples of Kona and Giant mountain bikes and some of them had top tubes that wouldn't require an adapter as they were basically horizontal, but several of the Konas had top tubes that angled pretty hard so an adapter would be a good idea for them.
