Will the Hitch-Mounted Thule Spare Me Bike Rack Fit on 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Im having some difficulty finding a proper hitch style 2 bike carrier for my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I measured the edge of my aftermarket spare from the pin hole of my hitch and it measured 12inch on the dot. I was hoping to go with a Saris product but I am getting confused with the measurements on your site. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The # SA4412B has a distance of 12 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest wheel tray on the carrier. If you measured 12 inches from the center of the pin hole to the straight edge, the Saris Freedom Bike Rack will have a very tight fit if you try to install it and mount a bike on it. I do not recommend using this rack as it may be too tight for your vehicle. I recommend going with the Thule Spare Me 2 Bike Rack # TH963PRO.

We have test-fitted the # TH963PRO rack on a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and it will fit more comfortably on your vehicle compared to the hitch-mounted Saris Freedom 2 Rack # SA4412B. The # TH963PRO bike rack fits tires up to 12.5" wide x 33" in diameter. This bike rack provides the same security for your bikes as the hitch-mounted Saris Freedom 2, but attaching a rack to your spare tire will make it easier to fit the bike rack rather than squeezing the hitch-mounted rack on your vehicle.

If you are carrying any women's children's or alternative framed bikes without the top horizontal cross tube, you may want to consider a bike adapter bar similar to # 64005 to make loading bikes easier.
