Motorcycles and the trailers designed to be towed by them have turn signals that are separate from the brake lights. This is different than what regular trailers and vehicle trailer connectors have. they are set up with the turn signals and brake lights combined on the same circuits.
The easiest thing to do is to wire up your truck with a matching vehicle side 5-Way such as # PK11502. This will be easy if your truck has turn signals on separate bulbs than the brake lights. You will just splice into the vehicle brake light, turn signal, and running light wires.
If your truck has the brake lights and turn signals combined on the same circuit then you will need to use a converter, # C56196. The green input wire is combined right turn and brake lights, the yellow input wire is combined left turn and brake lights, white is ground. The running light wire won't have to be connected to this converter to it can go straight to the 5-Way.
On the output side, red is brake lights only, green is right turn only, and yellow is left turn only.
