What is the Weight of the Swagman RV Bumper Bike Rack S80600

Question:

What is the weight of this rack empty? My bumper has a max weight rating of 150 lbs. I watched your installation video and I didnt hear him mention the continuous weld bumper. It looked as though the bumper in the video is a 4 inch tube which is the same as mine. There is no seam on the back or underside of the bumper. Would you recommend using this rack if the weight of the rack plus the 4 bikes does not exceed 150 lbs?

The weight of the Swagman Bumper Bike Rack part # S80600 that you referenced is 48 lbs. That would give you 102 lbs for the weight of your bikes. If you can keep the weight of the rack and bikes under this figure this rack would work well for you. If your plan was to carry 4 bikes you would basically have a 25 lb per bike capacity.

If your bumper is a solid, boxed channel that measures 4 by 4 inch this would work in that regard as well.
