Question:
2016 keystone outback tongue 980 lbs, weight 7750 lbs. I have had a eq sway for a smaller trailer will this be adequate for this trailer, im thinking of buying the EQ37120ET rated at tongue 1200 lbs and 12000 for the above trailer wouild this be sufficient?

Expert Reply:
Assuming that the 980 lb figure represents the fully loaded and ready to tow tongue weight of the trailer (including the weight of any gear stowed behind the rear axle in the vehicle cargo area or truck bed), the Equal-I-zer # EQ37120ET would be an outstanding choice. The system is rated for trailers with tongue weights ranging from 800-1200 lbs, since the tongue weight of your Keystone Outback is presumably almost dead center in that range, you couldn't have made a better choice.
The system includes the weight distributing shank and 2-5/16 inch trailer ball, but you'll need to use a thin-walled 1-7/8 inch socket to install the ball. If you don't have one, we offer it as part # ALL643216.
