Recommended Trunk-Mount Rack for 2016 Jeep Cherokee Sport

Does a Thule Passage 2 trunk bike rack work with a 2016 jeep cherokee sport?

We do have trunk-mount 2-bike racks that are confirmed to fit your 2016 Jeep Cherokee Sport but Thule has not yet test fitted their Passage 2 rack # TH910XT on your vehicle.

The rack I suggest for your consideration is the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top 2 Bike Carrier # HRF2.

If you have a rear spoiler at the roofline then the better choice is the # HRF2 since its arched design works great with spoilers. Its frame extends over and above such vehicle features to avoid any chance for damage or stress on the spoiler. Please refer to the linked video for illustration.

If either of your bikes does not have a horizontal top frame tube (like a typical man's bike does) then you may need an adapter bar like # UB01. This simply attaches between the seat and handlebar posts to provide a level surface to mate with the carrier's arms to help maintain safe ground clearance at the bikes' wheels.

If you'd like to add some security for the rack and bikes you can add the Passive Security Strap # TH533 to help secure the rack to the Jeep and cable lock # e98891 to lock the bikes to the rack.
