How to Convert 4-Way of Motorcycle to 5-Way For Towing Trailer with Separate Tailligths

Question:

I am towing with a motorcyle that has a 4 wire connection. The motorcycle camper I am towing has 5 wire consisting of tail/stop and separate yellow lt/rt turn signals. Do you have an adapter that will allow turn signals to operate and not feed off brake lights.

In order to be able to use the 4-way on your motorcycle you will need a converter like the Tow-Ready Vehicle to Vehicle Taillight Converter, part # 118158.

You will need to cut off your motorycle's 4-way and then wire this in place of it and then from there run it to a 5-way like the part # HM47900. The running light circuit of the original wiring will bypass the converter box.
