Determining Fit & Hatch Clearance of Yakima Roof Rack & Cargo Box on a 2015 Mini Cooper F56 2-Door

Question:

I have a 2015 Mini Cooper F56 2 door hardtop without factory roof rails. The car has a sunroof and rear spoiler. I am looking for a roof rack and cargo box if possible. Ive seen that the Yakima Q towers and round bars are recommended. Can you confirm that these will fit my car? Could you recommend a cargo box that will not interfere with the function of the cars tailgate and spoiler? Thanks for your help.

The shortest box we carry from Yakima is the RocketBox Pro 14 # Y07192 with a 45 inch hatch clearance.

For a roof rack compatible with your vehicle and a roof box, I recommend the SeaSucker Monkey Bars Roof Rack - Vacuum Cup Mount - 48" Long # 298-SX6000B. This rack has vacuum cups rated for 210 lbs pull strength each, so it will work very well for you. I've attached a video to assist.

It's important to note that the sunroof should not be opened while the rack is installed and the rack should be removed when not in use.
