Recommended Components for Proper RV Waste Water or Black and Grey Water Disposal
Question:
We recently purchased a 2016 Dutchmen Aerolite 224ES. We are new to having all these features, as we had previously only had a pop-up, that we never even hooked up to the water supply at campgrounds. Will this setup give me everything I need to hookup the rv to the sewer drains at the parks well visit? I think I also need some type of fresh water hose. I dont plan to fill the freshwater tank, though. I would just like to have everything I need in order to be able to use the shower/bathroom/kitchen, and drain everything out as we use it. Thanks in advance for your help!

Good news! I can help.
The Camco RhinoEXTREME RV sewer hoses # CAM39867 will work great to dispose the waste from your RV to the camp sites main dump station or to a portable waste tank like the Tote-N-Stor # TNS25609. I wouldn't recommend staying connected to the dump or waste tank all the time though, this can cause "the business" to not drain properly because it will never have the right amount of water force to flush the solid contents of the holding tanks and it leaves the opportunity for hazardous fumes to enter the RV. It is recommended to drain your black/grey water systems when 3/4 full for the best drainage if not all the way full. If you are concerned about the unpleasant smell, I would recommend one of our tank treatments to prevent odor like the # CAM41195 citrus scent liquid treatment.
Some additional components that will make dumping easier are the Camco dual flush pro # CAM39062, this will allow you to rinse your holding tanks and sewer hose with an ordinary garden hose. Another is the Camco Sidewinder # CAM43051 RV sewer hose support which will help keep your hose off the ground from damage and allow there to be a steady decline to prevent clogs.
You are correct about needing a fresh water hose, a great one for that is the Camco # CAM22833.
I have linked all the above mentioned parts as well as all the portable waste tanks to this page for your convenience.
