Can I use a Trailer Wheel with a 3-1/4 Inch Pilot Hole to Replace a Wheel with a 3 Inch Pilot Hole

If the wheel is stud-piloted, then the pilot hole hole does not matter. However, if the wheel is centered using the pilot hole, then you will need to find a wheel with the same size. Check the holes for the bolts or studs. If they are beveled then the wheel is stud piloted. The lug nut should have a matching bevel.
Other than that, just make sure the bolt-pattern is the same as the current wheel.
