Adapting a 89 Inch 3,500lbs Trailer Axle # 35545I-ST-89 for Overhung Application
Question:
I bought two of your 89inch 3500lb axles for a pontoon trailer. I was not paying attention to the spring center and did not specify that it is overhung. Can I still use this axle for an overhung application welding new spring seats on top at 68inch centers?

Yes, you will need a set of the # TRSS238 Spring Seats which will fit your 2-3/8 inch round axle to adapt your # 35545I-ST-89 89 inch 3,500lbs axle to make it compatible with an overhung application.
You will want to make sure you take it to a local qualified professional welder to install the spring seats at exactly your 68 inch center.
I have linked the correct spring seats to this page for your convenience.
