Will Tonneau Cover Rails Affect Turning Clearance for 5th Wheel Trailer on 2015 Chevy Silverado 3500

Question:

Can this product be used on my 3500 Silverado while pulling my fifth wheel trailer? When rolled up will the side rails allow for enough room from the pin box to complete tight turns.

We have not heard from our customers of 5th wheel turning clearance being an issue after installing a tonneau cover. I spoke with my contact at TruXedo and they have not heard of this being an issue either. As far as I know, this is not a common problem for customers.

The best way to ensure that the side rails of the TruXedo Lo Pro QT # TX572201 will not interfere with the turning clearance of your 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 is to take a measurement. With the 5th wheel trailer hooked to the truck, position the truck and trailer in a sharp turn. In this position, you can measure the distance between the truck side rail and the pin box to be sure the rail will not affect the turning clearance.

I confirmed with my contact at TruXedo that the rails for the tonneau will come in 3 inches on each side of the truck bed. As long as you have at least the 3 inches needed for the cover's rail between your Silverado's side rail and the pin box, the Lo Pro cover will not affect your turning clearance while towing your 5th wheel trailer.
