Trunk Mount Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2011 Mazda Tribute
Question:
Please advise me if this TH910XT rack will work well for 2 bikes on my daughters 2011 Mazda Tribute, which is an SUV with a hatchback. And if this is not the best choice, please tell me which one you think is the best choice and why.

The Thule Passage trunk mount bike rack # TH910XT is indeed a fit for your daughter's 2011 Mazda Tribute. Whether or not it is the best choice depends on what you are looking for in a trunk mount bike rack. I can tell you that the Passage is a solid performer that has not required any major changes over the years.
The Passage uses 6 straps to attach to the rear of the vehicle. The first time you perform the installation takes the longest but each subsequent time will be easier since you won't have to make as many adjustments to the strap length and positioning.
But in terms of ease of use the Saris Bones, # SA805BL, might just be a better option. This bike rack has arms that move independently from the rest of the rack so it can accommodate a wide range of bikes easier than the Passage. It is also lighter so it is easier to handle when installing or removing the rack. This rack also attaches with 6 straps.
I think your daughter will be happy with either rack but will probably like the Saris Bones better because it is lighter and a little more versatile.
