Troubleshooting Strornberg Carlson Powered Jack Not Working with Parallel Trailer Batteries
Question:
my camper has two batteriers in parallel for extended life for lights and ect. so i dont have to use the generator so much / replaced the crank jack with a stromberg carlson electric jet-3555 / ground off paint on jack and tongue of camper , bolted down with good contact . wire from the jet-3555 hooked up to + pos. side of one of the batteriers and jack does not work no lights or up and down . is it because of two batt. in parallel . does it have to be wired up different . or does the truck have to be hooked - up to camper to work . do i have to have a seperate 12 v batt. just for the jack . can you help

The issue you are having is most likely ground related, but what you can do is run a wire from the mounting bracket of the # JET-3555 to the main negative post of your two batteries ran in parallel.
As long as your battery ends up delivering 12 volts to the trailer accessories the jack would work just fine. Because of that the issue is has to be a ground. You might check the condition of the fuse in the yellow fuse holder as well.
