Is Frame Adapter Bar Needed to Carry Cannondale Foray 3 on Hanging Bike Rack

Question:

I have an 09 Forester x. I have a cannondale catalyst 3 and fiancée has the cannondale foray 3 Will I need to purchase the Thule adapter bar, code th982xt, to get her bike to fit?

I pulled up pictures of the Foray 3 and due to the angle of the top tube and the bend in it you would want to use an adapter bar like the part # UB01. Neat looking bike though.

The # UB01 will attach to the seat post and steering stem to provide a horizontal attachment point to allow the bike to be carried level.

I like the # UB01 over the Thule adapter bar as it is much easier to use and has a better price too.
