Fit and Compatibility of Pilot Tailgate Fire Strip to 2009 Ford Escape
Question:
Will this tail light strip work in my situation with a Ford Escape? It has a small gap between the tailgate door and the rear bumper. Im not sure if the whole bracketry will fit. Can the actual light strip be removed from the black housing? If this strip is not a good choice, I do want a strip that has the same features. Please advise. Thank you.

I was able to go out to the warehouse and measure the Bully Fire Strip LED Light # BLS-1103.
The thickness of the LED and bracket is .179 of an inch or 11/64. The overall height of the LED and bracket is .786 of an inch or 25/32 and the height of just the LED portion is .476 of an inch or 15/32.
The light strip should not be removed from the housing of which it is incased, this will damage the function of the light and void the warranty. If the above measurements do not suit your Escape just let me know the measurements you find and I would be more than happy to help you find one that will fit with the functions you desire.
