Where Do Straps of Thule OutWau Trunk Rack Attach on a 2014 BMW X1
Question:
Do the straps on the outway fasten to the trunk top and bottom and also the sides? I'm concerned that the Bmw trunks sides are glass not metal

The Thule OutWay # TH45JV is a confirmed fit for your 2014 BMW X1. I checked with Thule and they recommend you attach the straps in the gap at the front edge of the top of the trunk and place the lower clips in the bottom edge of the truck. The Fit Dial number to use is 9.
This bike rack does not use side straps. Only the top and bottom.
