Axle Recommendation for Small Utility Trailer to Gain Ground Clearance
Question:
I have a tear trailer built on a Harbor Freight 48x96inch frame. I camp quite a bit on trail roads and in the desert. I have a need for tires that are larger than the 12inch wheels that It came with 4 on 4. I would like to replace the axle with something that will give me more ground clearance. What would you recommend? Thanks.

For better ground clearance the Timbren HD Axle Less part # ASR2KHDS03 would work great as it has a 4 inch lift built into it and plus it doesn't have a cross beam like most standard axles so it has great ground clearance.
For a hub you would want the part # 84545UC1-EZ which has a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. The part # TA43RR is a popular 13 inch diameter wheel and tire that would fit this hub.
