I think I have a solution for you. If the frame measure 44 inches or less (outside to outside) then you could use weld-on hitch # 41990-07. Since this hitch is meant to be welded on, the installation will need to be performed by a qualified professional welder. The brackets that come with the hitch are 7 inches tall.
If the frame is greater than 44 inches but less than 62 you could use weld-on hitch # 41991-07.
Both of these hitches mentioned are higher capacity at 16k total trailer weight, but you will need to contact the manufacturer of your camper to see what type of restrictions they have on towing.
