What do I Need to Tow a Small Trailer Behind a 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan

Question:

All Im going to be towing is a small utility trailer no brakes. Is the 118534 wiring kit all Im going to need? I just want to be sure. I had bought and returned the C56150 kit.

You are going to need a few items to tow a small trailer behind your 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan. If you do not already have a hitch on your vehicle, you will need one to attach the trailer to your vehicle. I recommend 2" Curt Hitch Receiver Class III # 13364 for your Grand Caravan. It is confirmed to fit your vehicle by Curt and we have test fitted the product on a 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan. I have attached a photo of this hitch on your vehicle for you to look at.

This hitch uses a bolt-on installation process so no welding is required to put this hitch on your vehicle. This hitch has a glossy black powder finish over a protective base coat which offers great rust resistance. The maximum gross trailer weight for this hitch is 4,000 lbs. and the maximum tongue weight is 400 lbs.

You will also need a pin and clip, hitch ball, wiring harness and ball mount to complete your towing package. I recommend our Ball Mount Kit # 989900 which has your pin, clip, ball mount and hitch ball all together. This kit will work with the hitch I recommended.

For the wiring harness, I recommend the one you were looking at, the T-One 4-Pole Flat Connector # 118534. This harness is confirmed to fit your vehicle and is easy to install. No cutting or splicing into your vehicle wiring required because the T-One connector plugs directly into existing wiring behind your taillights.
