Parts Needed to Install a Brake Controller in a 1999 Toyota 4Runner with 4-Way
Question:
I want to put a Prodigy P3 brake controller on a 1999 Toyota 4Runner. I have a factory installed 4-in connector. Do I need both the controller+wires kit *AND* the ETC7 universal kit. I was wondering if the ETC7 contains some of the same wires. I made a mistake on the previous question. I want a P3 controller not a P2

Expert Reply:
To install the Prodigy P3 brake controller part # 90195 in your 1999 Toyota 4Runner with a 4-way would only require you to also buy the part # ETBC7. Since you already have a 4-way you would not need another one.
The ETBC7 comes with everything needed to convert the 4-way to a 7-way and install the brake controller.
I attached an install video and installation instructions for this product for you to check out as well.
