Will Suspension Enhancement System Work With 2005 Honda Pilot AWD
Question:
I have had a time looking for a suspension option for my 2005 Honda Pilot. You show air spring options not happening, a Timbren SES and the Coil Super Springs- but only for a 2wd Pilot. Why a 2wd? I have an awd version...whats the catch? Honda is no help here at all, even the Piloteer forum says users have successfully tried super springs...but no comments on 2wd/awd.

I called my contact at Timbren about the Rear Suspension Enhancement System, part # THROD2, and I also called my contact at Firestone about part # F4179. If you have a strut that is running down through the middle of your rear coil springs then neither of these systems will work for your Pilot.
These are installed inside the coil springs on your Pilot and will not affect the ride when the vehicle is not loaded down. These systems are intended to be used on a vehicle with a good working suspension system and installing these does not increase the load-carrying capacity of your vehicle.
