Can the Rightline Gear SUV Tent with Rainfly Be Used on Truck with Camper Shell
Question:
Just checking to see how well these work for a off road taller truck? It is not LIFTED, but this is the way it came. The tail gate is about 34inch off the ground and I have a normal size Leer shell on it. Picture of the truck is here. 2001 Ford 350 diesel with the extended cab and 6foot plus bed. I REALLY wanted a camper, but funds are not here and I am worried about weight as I am hauling horses. Also can the tail gate be down on the truck without affecting the tent?

The Rightline Tent part # RL110907 that you referenced is designed to fit trucks like yours that have caps so it would work well for you. You could remove your truck tailgate if you wanted to as well or just leave it down and it would work just fine.. This would basically give you a larger camping area to use with the camper shell on your truck.
