Longer Shank Recommendation For Using Pro Series Weight Distribution System With Taller Vehicle
Question:
I have Pro Series WD 49901 which includes hitch 58442. I recently purchased a new vehicle which the receiver hitch is about 6inch taller. Unfortunately my trailer is low 18 and I need a shank that can an additional 6-8. What is the spacing between the two bolts on this WD unit? Are they a multiple of 1.25inch or 1.5? What shanks are compatible with this WD unit?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The # PS49901 that you have is compatible with virtually all of the weight distribution shanks that are available since most are made to industry standards.
The Curt Shank part # C17124 is most likely going to be your best option. From the top of the shank down to the center of the lowest hole measures 13-1/2 inches.
