How Does the "Junior" Locking Steel Flush Door Latch Install
Question:
Hi I was just wondering how these latches the ones WITHOUT the flange hardware holes are installed? Is it a pressure fit within in the mounting hole? Is it welded? What is the best way to install. Thanks!

The Junior locking door latch # L1980 fits in a 2-3/4" x 3-3/4" hole and if the surface it is mounting to is raw steel it could be welded on. But most people will drill through the mounting flange and use screws, rivets, or nuts and bolts to hold it to the door.
A pressure fit would not work too well since you would likely pull the handle out of its mounting hole at some point.
