Weight Distribution Compatible Hitch Extension for 2011 Dodge Ram 3500

Question:

Ive got a 2011 Ram 3500, I put a flat deck on and think I will need a hitch extension to haul my 28ft camper. I am wondering if Im screwed with weight capacity. I want an extension as I have a hitch for stabilizer bars and want to keep using it.

The Reese Hitch Box Extension you mentioned, part # RP45292 can be cut down to 24 inches long. At that length, it would have a 8000 capacity when used with a weight distribution system. You'd need to use the extension with a Class V hitch with a 2-1/2 inch receiver opening.
