Can the Prodigy RF Brake Controller Install in a 2015 VW Touareg

Question:

I need to know how to make the RF unit work with the vehicle above. Ive read of all the problems people have had with these cars and brake controllers. In addition, Im not sure and cant get an answer as to whether my factory seven pin actually provides 12volts at the hitch. additional information: 1 I will most likely only use one trailer with this vehicle 2 The trailer Im buying had led lights 3 Im not crazy about screwing around with a very complicated electrical system nor do I want to add an accessory to the interior of an expensive truck.

Most likely the 7-way of your 2015 Volkswagen Tourareg does have the 12 volt accessory circuit active but the best way to tell is to check it with a circuit tester like part # PTW2993. The pin on the 7-way you need to test is the one in the 1:00 position. I attached a picture that shows all of the pin functions.

The RF part # TK94FR would be the ideal solution would recommend for installing a brake controller in your 2015 Volkswagen Touareg as this vehicle is notoriously one of the hardest to install a controller on. The LED lights of your trailer wouldn't be a problem.
