These are available in both 2- and 3-bike capacity, but even if you only have two bikes to transport a 3-bike rack can be preferred for the extra space you'll have. This is something to keep in mind especially if you have wide bikes like beach cruisers.

A quality feature-packed rack I like is the Thule OutWay 3-Bike Rack # TH56BV. It comes with all the integrated locking features to keep your bikes and the rack itself secure to your vehicle. This rack is rated for bikes up to 33 lbs each. It is the absolute easiest to install and remove from the car.

If you prefer a more cost-effective choice then I suggest their Passage 3 Bike Carrier # TH911XT which skips the locks and some of the advanced features of the Archway but still delivers a quality rack.
