Recommended Platform-Type Bike Rack for Rear of Travel Trailer

Question:

I recently purchased a Curt #18084 Tray-style hitch mounted bike rack and put it on the back of my travel trailer in a 2inch hitch receiver, with 2 bikes. The mast snapped off somewhere on a lonely Florida road and both bikes were lost. There wasnt much metal supporting the bottom of their mast. See photo attached Later, I saw that there was some fine print in the Curt specs on line that said never to mount their rack on a trailer. Too late for me. What would be a comparable tray style bike rack that would be expected to survive on the back of a trailer?

Because they'll be subjected to bouncing and shaking that they wouldn't be exposed to if attached to a passenger vehicle, we only recommend using certain bike racks on the rear of a towed trailer.

Swagman offers the # S44FR platform type bike rack that's recommended for use on a towed trailers. The rack is properly reinforced so that it'll work great on the rear of your travel trailer. The rack can handle 2 bikes weighing up to 45 lbs apiece. The rack can accommodate a maximum bike wheelbase of 52 inches and a maximum 3 inch tire width.

The Saris Freedom bike rack you referenced isn't compatible for use on a travel trailer.
