Hanging Bike Rack Recommendation for Front Hitch of 2011 Dodge Ram
Question:
I have a 2011 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel. I have made my own under the front bumper hitch receiver and am looking for a bike rack for 4-5 bikes. I need to carry them on the front since I will be hauling a 5th wheel camper and my bed has other items in it. What bike racks will I be able to use that will not block vision or lights for this front setup. I am not looking break the bank either.

We have 4 and 5 bike racks available that could easily fit a 2 inch front hitch. But it won't end up being the rack that would block the vision or headlights (and also airflow to the radiator). What will block those things would be the bikes.
The weight of a bike rack plus 4 to 5 bikes is pretty heavy, you would want to ensure that the hitch you made is well reinforced.
A hanging bike rack would have the least amount of rack in the way of the headlights/radiator/headlights. For a hanging 5 bike rack that would work well and wouldn't break the bank we have the Curt Bike Rack part # C18065. This rack has the nicer features the more expensive racks have like anti-sway cradles and anti-rattle device but at a much lower price. I attached a review video for this bike rack for you to check out as well.
If you plan on carrying any womens or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may also be interested in purchasing a Kuat Bike Frame Adapter Bar # UB01 to provide a horizontal top tube on your bikes to provide an attachment point. I attached a review video for this product also. This will allow the bikes to be carried more level and will provide more ground clearance.
