Class V Hitch for 1989 Ford F-250 4WD with Auxiliary Fuel Tank
Question:
I have a 1989 f250 regular cab 4wd, with heavy duty towing package. It also has an auxiliary fuel tank. Am looking at the 14001, 45002 or C15300. Would like to keep the spare where it is. Do all three allow this and is the extra fuel tank a problem? Need 12 to 13 thousand towing capacity. Which is the best choice.

If your 1989 Ford F-250 4WD with heavy-duty towing package has a deep-drop type bumper then the only option in a 2-inch Class V hitch is the B&W # BWHDRH25198 which DOES require you to adjust the positioning of the spare tire mount. The other hitches you referenced require this too.
If you happen to have a standard or step bumper the Class V hitch fits are different, as shown on the linked page. My contact at Draw-Tite advised that their Class V hitch # DT45502 will not require you to relocate your spare tire. They have no knowledge of fit issues with an OEM auxiliary fuel tank but it is possible that an aftermarket tank could interfere. This hitch carries a 12K rating (14K with weight distribution).
You can compare the installation instructions, which are linked for you, to the truck frame to see if you will have access to the frame mounting points. I also linked an installation video showing a 1995 F-250.
