Can B & W Turnover Ball and Rail Mounted 5th Wheel Hitch Be Installed in 2015 Chevy Silverado 3500
Question:
We have a 2015 Chevy K3500 diesel crew cab dually with an 8inch suspension lift. It has already had a turnoverball gooseneck hitch installed. We just purchased a Pro Series 20K hitch with the rails for the bed interior. Will your standard custom installation kit work or is the gooseneck going to make problems?

The frame rails that attach the Turnover Ball Hitch to the truck frame will interfere with installing the fifth wheel hitch, as they would occupy the same spot on the truck frame. Your best bet, since you already have the turnover ball would be to use the B & W Companion like # BWRVK3500-5W, which is designed to mount directly into the Turnover Ball gooseneck hitch.
The fact that the truck is lifted by 8 inches might also cause an issue. In some cases, the lift will have an effect on the towing capacity of the truck. The manufacturer of the lift kit should be able to clear that up for you. Most fifth wheel trailers are designed to be towed by trucks with a stock ride height. Increasing that ride height would mean that the trailer would be towed high in the front, which could cause the pin box to hit the truck's bed sides during turns.
