Can Hopkins Agility Brake Controller Install in a 1990 Ford F-150

Question:

I have a hopkins HM47294 controller on my escape but want to change it to my 1990 f150. Can this be done and were do I connect the wires to for the under dash/

Your Hopkins part # HM47294 can be installed in your 1990 Ford F-150 but there isn't a under dash direct plug in available for the truck. Instead you would have to hardwire the controller.

You will need to start with a 4-way (if you do not have one). For that you would want the # 118316.

From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well.

In the video the brake controller being installed in the 1990 F-150 is different from yours but would wire up the exact same way.
