Recommended Tow vehicle for a 1995 Lance Travel Trailer
Question:
We are purchasing a Lance 1995 with a GVWR of 5700 lbs. What size truck would be appropriate for this and possible future larger trailers? We are looking at 3/4 ton trucks, but what about the Tundra? What size engine, etc. would we need or is this not the direction we should go?

Which truck to use for towing isn't the easy question it would appear. If you weren't ever going to tow anything heavier than a 5700lb GVWR trailer, a 1/2 ton truck would be fine.
If you were looking to go with a larger trailer sometime in the future, or maybe even move up to a fifth wheel, I'd recommend at least a 3/4 ton with a long bed if possible. On average, a Diesel engine would have more torque and would usually last longer.
I won't get into the Ford versus Chevy versus Mopar argument, all three have their strong points. Knowing that you might increase to a larger trailer in the future, you might consider a 1 ton truck as well. I don't know much about the Tundra, I'm more familiar with American trucks.
