Should a Bike Frame Adapter Bar Be Used When Carrying a Trek MTB XCaliber on a Hanging Bike Rack

My bike is a TREK MTB XCALIBER 8 29 er pic can i use the thule 963 pro with no bar adapter or i need it? The bike frame fit well in the rack?

I took a look at your bike and it has a cross tube that does angle down quite a bit so I think your best option would be to use a frame adapter bar like part # UB01 when carrying it on the Thule Spare Me # TH963PRO.

If your vehicle sits pretty high off the ground you could probably get by without the adapter but the front wheel would sit much lower than the rear. Aside from potential ground clearance issues this can also make loading additional bikes on the rack more difficult.
