Will a Ball Mount for a Vehicle Trailer Hitch Fit the Curt ATV Towing Starter Kit
Question:
I am looking to outfit a 2014 Rancher 420 TRX420FAS1? Honda ATV with a more convenient hitch mount. The Curt start kit C45038 looks like something useful. What I want to know is will a standard 2inch draw bar I use on my vehicle work with the curt receiver. I fear the depth of the Curt receiver is not sufficient to get a hitch pin in there on the automotive draw bar. The reason I wish to use the auto bar I have is for a 5inch rise for the ball... Please let me know your thoughts.

The Curt ATV Towing Starter Kit # C45038 receiver portion is open at the back and with the ball mount that comes with it the measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the shank is 2-1/2 inches. This is a pretty standard distance for ball mounts. I have included a picture showing where this measurement is taken. If your ball mount has the same distance or less then it will work.
